Recipe Box Crafts for a Mother’s Day Gift

Nothing makes a mom feel special like a personalized gift from her child. Make your mom feel special with this hearty recipe cards holder.

To make this holder you’ll need:

• A medium size cardboard box
• 2 sheets of light colored felt paper
• 1 sheet of dark colored felt paper
• Craft glue
• Scissors
• Greetings card with picture

How to make it:

1. Trim the flaps and lids of the cardboard.
2. Wrap the entire box, inside and outside, with light colored felt paper. Apply the felt with craft glue.
3. Cut 4 long strips of dark felt, roughly 1.5-inch wide. Feather the sides of the strips to give it a more artistic look.
4. Glue the dark felt strips over the four outside corners of the box.
5. Cut the picture from the greeting card and glue it to the center of the box front.
6. Cut small hearts of various sizes from the card. Glue the hearts onto the box for further embellishment.
